Chicago Street Smarts!
February 2nd, 2007
Spring Semester students learned how to master public transportation today. Program Director Emily Neslon explained how the city is organized, how to find addresses, how to find more than one route and choose the best (as in, safetest & most efficient) and then students were given city excursions. They went out in groups of three and found centers of culture in several neighborhood across the city.
As I’m writing this, Thousand Waves is in the house. Here’s a picture of Kate and a few students about to embark on a streets-smarts safety exercise.
