Summer Session students had a lively discussion with Mike Pederson about social issues ranging from world and national politics to everyday life.
As part of a 2-day LearnChicago! trip for Economics, Finance and Marketing Honors students from Albion College’s Gerstacker Institute, we met with Robert Koerner, The Davis Group and Terri Haymaker and Sam Assefa, Urban Planners from the City of Chicago about their project, the Columbian, the South Loop’s newest and tallest building.
Deputy Commissioner Terri Haymaker is on the Board of, and an alum of, Chicago Center.

Summer Session students attended Rainbow PUSH’s weekly Saturday forum, founded by Rev. Jesse Jackson.Summer students enjoyed a trip to the Art Institute of Chicago, and then a public performance of Chicago Afrobeat Band, for Summer Dance. A good release after starting the internship search process!

Our June 2 event was fabulous. Held at Grace Place Church, the event included a silent auction, wine bar & appetizer buffet and a special performance by the Youth Pride Center.

The featured entertainment was Billy Branch and the Sons of the Blues.
