Cooperative Living |
| |
| |
Although there are 20 to 40 people each term, you'll live with 3 or 4 other students, sharing cooking, cleaning and household responsibilities. Each apartment is given a charge account at three local grocery stores for food and apartment maintenence items.
- Why Cooperative Living? The living space becomes a nexus for community among participants and some of the best learning happens in the context of late night discussions. In fact, life long friendships are often forged through this aspect of the Chicago Center program.

Our Neighborhod, Hyde Park |
| |
Our student apartments and offices are located in one of the country's most historic and diverse neighborhoods, Chicago's lakefront Hyde Park.
World-renown museums and art galleries, including the Museum of Science and Industry, DuSable Museum of African American History, the Oriental Institute and the Renaissance Gallery populate Hyde Park. We're also home to the University of Chicago and several seminaries.
Parks, courtyards and public art spaces give another reason Hyde Park is one of Chicago's most desirable neighborhoods. |
